Question:

I just bought a 2002 snow bear utility trailer and it is missing the left side spring loaded hitch pin. This trailer has a 2 x2 metal housing attached to the tail gate. Is there a replacement hitch pin i can buy? Thanks

There is an option that should work for your utility trailer; it is a spring latch designed for the left hand side of your trailer, and has a 2" tall x 1-1/8" wide mounting bracket:

The # F719-282U is also made of stainless steel so it won't rust, so it's going to be really durable and last.

This latch uses a 4-1/8" long x 3/8" diameter pin, and the only other option that may work for a longer pin is the Spring Latch w/ Holdback for Trailer Tailgate - Left Hand # F720-282U108.

I say "may" because this uses a 3" tall x 1-1/4" wide bracket, though they do have 1-3/4" mounting holes (on center). The pin on this is 5-3/4" long x 1/2" diameter.
