Question:

Is there a fixed base kit for the RRRLT600 that can install down into the drip rail groove on a pickup roof where the metal is thickest/strongest? I have a 2020 Ram 1500 crew cab.

Rhino rack doesn't offer a standard bare roof fit option for your vehicle, but we do offer rack fits that will work for you.

Roof racks available for your 2020 Ram 1500 would install so the roof rack feet sit right on the edge of the flat portion of the roof right before the roof curves downward which is the strongest portion of the roof.

Rather than attaching directly to the roof or to tracks that would need to be installed into the roof, the available roof racks use a clamp system that grabs onto the upper door jambs which provides for a very strong attachment that won't require any drilling and won't damage the vehicle if installed according to the instructions.

I'd recommend a Yakima CoreBar roof rack that would consist of the following parts:

• Yakima 70 inch CoreBars, part # Y00423
• Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers # Y28TR
• Vehicle specific fit clip kit, part # Y06135

If you click the provided link, you can see an install/demonstration video showing a different Yakima roof rack being installed on a 2020 Ram 1500 like yours. The rack shown uses a different crossbar, but the roof rack feet would sit in the same spot and would install the same way as the rack I recommended for you.
