Question:
I installed this on a 2017 traverse and saw amazing results towing. Curious if it’s worthwhile and recommend on my 2018 Chevy Colorado 2.8L Duramax diesel?

Yes, you can also install the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13503 on your 2018 Chevrolet Colorado with the 2.8L Duramax engine. This cooler is a great addition to most vehicles that are towing, especially in the hotter climates or are subjected to a lot of stress when towing(stop and go). Installation is made easier on your Colorado with a Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting # D13035 that allow you to not have to cut your transmission lines.
By keeping the transmission cool it will increase the life of your transmission by reducing the wear of the clutches inside as well as the sensitive electronics that monitor and control the transmission. This also helps prevent the computer in your Colorado from cutting engine power when the transmission heats to levels that will damage the components inside the transmission.
I have linked a helpful installation video that we did on a 2017 GMC Canyon that you can reference.
