Is there a way of removing the glue, if one needs to?

I would use an adhesive remover that is safe for vehicle paint if you eve need to remove the rails for the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack # TH302043. This will likely be a bit more difficult to remove than the double-sided tape, although it should hold better. This is a great option to go with if you're wanting to avoid adding a hitch or roof rack on your vehicle.
