I have a solution for you but there isn't a way to connect the Demco base plate kit you mentioned to a Blue Ox base plate kit so you'd want to instead go with a Blue Ox base plate part # BX2221 which is a fit for your 2000 Honda CR-V and your Blue Ox tow bar.
