Question:

I am not sure why but my running lights not working, wanted to get code for the wiring. Lt = Left turngreen wire,yellow wire Rt stands for Right turn, Grnd = groundwhite now Im left w/ the brown wire and thought your diagram would have the codes listed on the inside part of the plug- I guessed what three are but what is the code/abbreviation for tail light/running lights?tm or avr?

I have attached a photo of the Pollak Heavy-Duty, 7-Pole # PK11700 as viewed from the front with all of the correct wiring connections noted. 12:00 - White Wire is Ground. 2:00 - Brown Wire - Tail and Running Lights. 4:00 - Green Wire - Right Brake and Turn. 6:00 - Purple Wire - Reverse Lights. 8:00 - Yellow Wire - Left Brake and Turn. 10:00 - Black Wire - 12v Battery Power. Center - Blue wire - Brake Control Output.

The pin at 2:00 position is the correct pin that carries the signal for your running lights. If you check this with a circuit tester such as part # PTW2993 or equivalent, you will be able to confirm the function carried on each wire to determine where your issue lies. If the pin shows voltage, also check for bent, damaged or corroded pins within the connector, which can actually act as a short. ANY of these factors COULD interfere with the normal operation of your running lights.
