which way to turn the roller bar for tension on the slide out

When winding awning rollers like the Solera RV Slide Out Awning part # LCV000163285 you wind them towards the RV. So like if the roller was on the ground the direction you'd roll the tube would be the direction that would roll the tube towards the body of the RV. This puts tension in the roller in the direction that allows the fabric to be held tight when the awning is out and then will roll itself back up as the arms close.
You'll want to roll the tube between 12 and 16 times to get the proper tension.
