Recommended Towing Mirrors for a 1980 Mercedes-Benz 300TD

Question:
I notice these mirrors are not guaranteed to fit a 1981 Mercedes 300TD wagon. But, has anyone tried them on any vintage Mercedes vehicle? Is it worth trying them to find out?

I do have an option for you but there aren't any custom fit towing mirrors for a 1980 Mercedes-Benz 300TD. The only option for this vehicle are universal fit mirrors, for which I recommend the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors part # 7070-2.
