Can 2 Yakima FrontLoader Bike Racks Fit on a LoadWarrior Cargo Basket on a 2003 Subaru Outback

Question:

Can I mount 2 Yakima FrontLoader Bike Racks on a Yakima Load Warrior Basket mounted to the roof of a vehicle? Id like to put two bikes on the outside of the basket and then use the space between the bikes to load items. Does this sound like it can be done? My vehicle is a 2003 Subaru Outback Wagon. Thanks

You can certainly mount two Yakima FrontLoader Bike Carriers, # Y02103, to the LoadWarrior Cargo Basket, # Y07070, and load cargo in between, but you will need two of the Yakima Loadbars, # 8870042, to mount the bike racks. The FrontLoader bike racks require two crossbars to attach to and these loadbars will provide the crossbars on top of the LoadWarrior cargo basket for the bike carriers.

Since you will be loading two bikes and cargo on the LoadWarrior cargo basket, I recommend verifying the weight capacity of your roof to ensure you do not exceed the weight capacity when you have all of your bikes and cargo loaded. The weight capacity of your roof rack should be located in your owners manual or a local Subaru dealer can give you that information.
