Question:

Why should I choose one over the other when it comes to the firestone air bags, the 7500 and 5000. I have a new 2022 F350 on the way to go with my 5th wheel RV. Is the 5000 good enough or do I need the 7500?

For Firestone air bags on your 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty, the weight ratings are listing its max capacity. The Ride-Rite springs will not increase your truck's weight-carrying capacity but designed to increase safety and reduce the strain on your Ford F-350 Super Duty's suspension. They partner with your existing rear suspension system to help keep the vehicle level and maintain an even load distribution. Please do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight limit.

I recommend the 7,500 lb Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs, # F95FV if you are towing a 5th wheel trailer with a pin weight of more than 5,000 lbs. Otherwise there is not a need for the higher-rated system and I'd use the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs, # F35FV.

Additionally, I highly recommend adding a compressor in order to make it much simpler to inflate and maintain your air bags. The easiest system to use, because it allows you to control the compressor with just an app on your smartphone, is the Air Command Compressor System # F2610.
