Hello, I have a 2017 ram 1500 with factory brake controller. I am interested in putting this actuator on my trailer, it has drum brakes on the axle. My truck has an option for electric or electric over hydraulic brakes on the controller through the dash menu. From what I have read about your actuator, the factory controller should work, right ?

Absolutely. The Hydrastar # HBA-12 Electric Over Hydraulic Trailer Brake Actuator is compatible with OEM brake controllers as long as they have an EOH (electric over hydraulic) mode, which yours does. You'll be good to go, and everything will work together great.

The # HBA-12 actuator is actually the favorite of our install crew. It's a rugged unit that works great, is very reliable and is straightforward to install.
