Question:

I have a pair of 78 inch Thule square load bars purchased in 2002 that I used on a previous car. The feet to attach them to the roof rails wont work because my new car is a 2022 Audi Q3 with factory installed roof rails that are flush to the roof. Can I use the old load bars on the new car and what feet do I need?

Although we have roof rack options for your 2022 Audi Q3, unfortunately your older crossbars from your previous vehicle aren't compatible with the currently available Thule roof rack feet. The currently available Thule square bars have slots in the underside of them that accept the roof rack feet, which is different than your old crossbars.

You could assemble a current Thule square bar roof rack using the following parts:

• Thule 50 Inch SquareBar EVO crossbars, part # TH712300

• Thule Flush Rail Feet, part # TH710601

• Vehicle Specific fit kit, part # TH186031

If you'd prefer crossbars that were more aerodynamic and therefore less noisy, you'd use the same feet and fit kit, but substitute the Thule 50 inch WingBar EVO crossbars which are part # TH711320 for black or part # TH711300 for silver.

Square crossbars can be quite noisy, so I'd recommend the WingBar EVO crossbars over the SquareBars.
