Question:
Hello etrailer, I have a 2017 Ford Transit that has a 7 pin pollak plug and my boat trailer has 4 pin flat connector. Are any of your adapters good for salt water.

Expert Reply:
For a 7-way to 4-way adapter I recommend the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter # PK12716. This adapter has a non-corrosive nylon shell so salt water would not be a concern.
If you need an adapter that is more than just a plug and has some extra cable, I recommend the Hopkins Heavy-Duty Trailer Coiled Wire Adapter # HM47065. This adapter has a heavy-duty coiled cable with weatherproof jacketing that stretches up to 5' in length. It also has tin-plated terminals for corrosion resistance.
I have attached a review video of both adapters for your reference.
