Question:
Why is this system not recommended for towing in mountains or hilly terrain.

Expert Reply:
It's not recommended to use a portable braking system when traveling through maintains or hilly terrain as there is an increased chance for the unit to become dislodged within the vehicle. Therefore, it is recommended to use instead use a permanent system. I recommend the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System part # SM99251 for hydraulic motorhome brakes or the Demco SBS Air Force One Supplemental Braking part # SM99243 for air motorhome brakes. These are the easiest to install and most reliable permanent systems on the market.
