Beginning in 2005, Toyota offered a deck rail system for the Toyota Tacoma. The deck rail system mounted directly below the top of the truck bed walls. Because of the location of the deck rail system on the Tacoma, the deck rails interfered with the installation of the Thule T-Rac, so Thule made special clamps.

The deck rail system was not offered on the Toyota Tundra until 2007, so this should not be an issue on your 2005 Toyota Tundra. You can simply disregard the section in the instructions that refers to the Tacoma attachment and install the ladder rack using the standard clamps.

If your 2005 Tundra has a deck rail system or cargo management system in the truck bed that covers the underside of truck bed walls (see photo), then that system must be removed to install the T-Rac Pro2 ladder rack, # TH37002XT. This ladder rack attaches to the truck by clamping around the top of the truck bed wall.
