Question:

2011 dodge ram 2500 slt, have reese above bed rails, need the brackets only for custom installation. Do Curt brackets work?

For a 2011 Ram 2500, you would need the Reese Custom Frame Mounted Installation Brackets, part # RP50140 which includes the frame brackets and the hardware for attaching the brackets to the truck frame. If you already have the bed mounted rails, you will also need the hardware for attaching the rails to the brackets, part # 58164.

Since you have Reese Bed Rails, we recommend using Reese frame brackets because they have been tested together. Using Reese rails along with Curt frame mount brackets would lead to an unknown weight capacity because they have not been tested together.

The Reese bracket kit you referenced, part # RP50084 is for a Toyota Tundra, and would not be compatible with your truck.
