Luckily, the BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover - Folding # BAK26125 installs inside the bed rails, leaving the top of the bed rails exposed for specific ladder racks to mount to. For your 2016 Chevy Colorado 6' bed, I recommend going with the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum - 500 lbs # A4000951. This is a popular option which has completely vertical upright arms that do not bend in, allowing for full functionality of your folding hard tonneau cover.

The ladder rack features 66" long 1-1/2" by 1-1/2" square crossbars which have a t-slot track on top. This allows you to install various accessories such as Load Stops # A4000880 or Tie Downs # A4000882. I attached a couple demonstration videos for you to check out.
