Can you mount a pioneer platform direct to these, or do you need crossbars? and if so which ones

We've actually asked Rhino Rack this in the past and they told us that the Pioneer Platforms like the part # RR35TB can attach directly to the Rhino Rack feet part # RLTP-3.
