Are Adjustments Required For The RoadActive Suspension?
Updated 08/11/2021 | Published 08/10/2021 >
Question:
Hello, I have a 2012 Toyota Tundra SR5 and Tow a 20foot 18foot box enclosed motorcycle trailer. 2 years ago I purchased the RAS from you and I love it, my truck no longer s 2.5 - 3 , now only 3/4! This week I had Rancho RS9000 XL shocks and struts installed, my OEM where done but lasted 108,000 mi. This kit raises the front so the truck is level and are adjustable for heavy towing or normal driving. It also raised my rear about and inch, Should I readjust the RAS, or leave it as is? I had the ram set at a the maximum. Thank you!

You will want to verify that you still have the correct amount of spring tension on the RoadActive Suspension # RAS34FR on your 2012 Toyota Tundra SR5. I recommend keeping the gauges, 1mm and 2mm in your Tundra at all times. Before you load your Tundra or connect to your trailer you will want to ensure that the spring tension is properly set to prevent damage to the RAS and keep your Tundra as level as possible. Keeping your Tundra level will ensure that you maintain even braking and do not get the light steering feel.
As your suspension will slowly settle due to the weight of your Tundra over time it is always a good idea to check your adjustments periodically as the suspension does change over time.
