Removing Rivet of Frame Arms of Thule Revolver to Replace Wheel Cradle
Updated 08/09/2021 | Published 08/08/2021 >
Question:
Its time for me to change the cradle assemblies on my 964 Revolver. Just forward of the pin keeper V there is a rivet which precludes the removal of the drivers side cradle assemblies. Can I simply drill that rivet out? What is the function of this rivet? Is it simply to prevent the pin keeper V from sliding aft? If it is OK to drill out this rivet, what do I replace this rivet with size, length and material?

You will need to drill out the rivet and then you can either put in a new rivet based on the hole size or you could put in a bolt that's appropriately sized. You may find that it's not needed at all. A lot of people leave it off.
