Will Other Brands of Roof Rack Accessories Fit on Rola Racks With Elliptical T-Slot Crossbars

Rola T-Slot equipped crossbars are intended for Rola accessories but will also work with other brands of similar roof-rack-mount accessories. Since the different brands do not test with each others products there may be instances where a particular T-slot accessory from one maker may not work ideally with the Rola crossbars, but usually we find that these similar systems are compatible. I have included a photo of a Rola T-Slot crossbar showing the dimensions of the slot, which are 0.83 inches wide x 0.20 inches high.

The Rola Sport roof rack system 59723 fits the 2013 Toyota Highlander with naked roof (no rails or crossbars) and accepts T-slot-mount and crossbar-clamp-mount accessories such as ski and bike carriers

I can offer some examples of compatible accessories. The Swagman Roof Bike Rack, part # S64720, will mount to the Rola crossbars using its u-bolt hardware. The Rhino-Rack Ski Carrier, part # RR576, can use a T-slot to mount or can clamp around the crossbars. Both Thule and Yakima brands also offer a wide range of roof-rack-mount accessory items.

I have included links to bike racks and ski and snowboard carriers that can mount to elliptical crossbars. As you consider accessory items from other brands you will just need to keep in mind the 3-1/8-inch x 1-inch size of the Rola crossbars and select items that can fit crossbars of this size, or that use a T-slot mounting system.
