im looking at the wingbar evo unit and my question is: i have a thule carrier and is there enough clearance between the crossbar and the roof when the clamps are tightened

You should have plenty of clearance between the roof of your 2020 Honda Fit and the Thule roof rack on your vehicle. This rack, consisting of theThule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 47" Long - Qty 2, part # TH711220, the
Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars - Naked Roofs - Qty 4, part # TH710501, and the Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp Roof Rack Feet - 5152, part # TH145152, has a weight limit of 165 lbs. There will be approximately 4" between the roof your 2020 Honda Fit to the underside of the crossbars.
I do recommend adding Thule Lock Cylinders to your rack to secure it to your vehicle.
