Recommended Hitch Lock For Kuat Beta 2 Bike Rack W/ 1-1/4" Shank

Question:

Whats the best hitch lock for the Kuat Beta that fits 2 bikes, and goes into my 1.25 inch receiver? Does the lock pin replace the pin the Beta comes with? Do you still need to secure it with the clip? Also what do recommend for locking a bike or two on on the rack?

The hitch lock I recommend for your Kuat Beta 2 Bike Rack # B202-114 you have is the Kuat # HL1. At this time this is the only hitch lock available, as your bike rack uses a 3/8" hitch pin instead of a 1/2" hitch pin like most 1-1/4" bike racks.

This will completely replace the pin included with your bike rack, and will not use a pin as it will use the lock to keep the pin from coming out of the bike rack.

To lock the bikes to your rack I recommend the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891 to wrap around your bikes and bike rack.
