Using Rhino Rack # 564U Ski/Snowboard Carrier to Carry Fishing Poles on OEM Roof Rack of 2013 Tacoma

Question:

Hello I have 2 questions: Can this rack be used to hold 4 fishing rods? And, will the mounting hardware fit on the cross bars for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma factory roof rack? Thank you very much for your assistance.

Although the Rhino Rack Ski and Snowboard carrier is not specifically designed for that purpose, many folks (including my Rhino Rack representative) have successfully used the carrier for fishing poles. The rubber cushions on the inside edges of the carriers will grip the poles snugly, preventing them from siding out of the carrier.

The universal mounts that the # RR574 Ski/Board Carrier uses will fit crossbars up to 3-1/8 inches wide. As long as the crossbars on your truck are not any wider than that, the carrier should work very well for you.
