Question:
I have a 2007 dodge durango with the full factory tow package and have ordered the Tekonsha 3020-P brake control harness for it. I have searched all over for the factory coupler under the dash by the emergency brake where it is supposed to be found but cant seem to find it. Any idea where it might be hiding? Thanks,

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since your 2007 Dodge Durango is equipped with a factory tow package it will have a connection port for a brake controller. The connector is usually routed over near the emergency brake pedal but it is possible that the wire harness and connector are zip-tied to other under-dash wiring or tucked behind a trim panel.
It may be helpful to temporarily remove the left kick panel (to the left of your left ankle when behind the wheel) to give you better access to the vehicle wiring. If not tucked under the dash, the brake control port is behind this panel. You can refer to the linked video (of a different vehicle) which illustrates the connection port.
