For your 2011 Volkswagen CC, I recommend the Curt Class I Receiver Hitch # C11091. This hitch has a 1-1/4 inch receiver, a 200 pound tongue weight capacity, and a 2,000 pound towing capacity.
To install the hitch, drilling is required as well as temporarily lowering the exhaust. I have attached the installation instructions for this hitch for you.
