Easiest Way To Load Up A Kayak On The Roof Of A 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Question:

Just a quick question: I have a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Im not tall. Will the Rhino rack T-loader help me get my kayak on the Jeep by myself? What I want to know is if you know of anyone about 54inch that has actually used the T loader to get a kayak on a taller vehicle? I love kayaking and it has been a struggle to get it on the roof.

The Rhino Rack T-Load # RTL002 will help you load your kayak if you have a saddle type kayak carrier like this # MPG110MD because you will have the kayak sitting upright on the T-Load Bar and then it'll fall nicely into the Saddle.

If you want the ultimate ease of use kayak carrier you should get the Thule Hullavator # TH898 because it will lower to the side of your 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee where you can tie it down and then easily lift the kayak up and onto your roof. You'll need a roof rack that has at least 4 and no more than 8 inches of overhang.

You can get these crossbars # RRVA165B-2 with these feet # RRRLKVA and this custom fit kit # DK234. This will give you plenty of overhang to be able to use the Thule Hullavator which is the easiest way to load up your kayak. This way you won't have to worry about taking up your hitch and you still will be able to open your hatch!
