Question:

S65148. In the link above you will see the J-rack...I was also trying to buy cross bars but was unsure if these would fit the 3inch wide crossbars I was also looking at buying linked below. MPG215 I am trying to put this all on my 2016 Jeep Cherokee so I can carry two kayaks 10 ft each. I was curious if the 50inch cross bar was also too small for this. I could do the 58inch cross bar but the current width of my side rails are 40inch in the back and 44inch in the front of the car so with the 58inch there would be up to 9inch on each side of the car extending out.. seems a bit much but have never done this. Appreciate any feedback!

The Malone roof rack part number # MPG215 is a confirmed fit for the roof of your 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee and is an excellent rack to allow you to carry two 10 foot kayaks like you mentioned with the Swagman Carrier part # S65148 that you mentioned as well. I attached a review video for this rack that shows it installed on a Cherokee just like yours.

Since the Swagman carrier is a J-style that holds the boats at an angle you'd also have plenty of room to fit the two. This rack will also easily fit on the Malone bars.
