Will the Malone Seawing, item # MPG107MD fit my Yakima HD Crossbars Y01158, eiither with the clamp or in the slot?

I went ahead and checked to see if the Malone Seawing # MPG107MD would fit the Yakima HD bars # Y01157 and they do not. The bolts are just a little too short. What you can do is either go to the hardware store and get similar bolts but longer or you can install it via t-track using this kit # MPG8287 to fit it into your T-Slots on your Yakima HD bars.

The Malone Seawing part #MPG113MD is a solid choice for your kayaks. The guy you talked maybe didn't like them but there's no reason it wouldn't continue to work well for you. The chines are perfectly okay to support the kayak.
