Yes, the DeeZee Customizable Truck Bed Ladder Rack # DZ95053 has been confirmed by DeeZee as a fit for your 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD with a 6-1/2 ft bed.
If your kayak is 23 wide or less it should have no problem fitting it on the # DZ95053 as it has an width of 23 inches. If it is wider than that you may have to carry the kayak on its side.
You may also be interested in Yakima Bow/Stern Ratcheting Tie-Down Straps # Y04031 to secure the kayak.
