Can the Base of the Thule Telescoping Ladder for Vans Be Left on the Vehicle
Updated 07/12/2021 | Published 07/07/2021 >
Question:
Hello, I was wondering if the part that attaches to the van stays affixed to the van at all times. This part comes with a bag, same as the ladder, so I was wondering if when its not in use you are supposed to put it back in the bag. Will it slide off the van in the rain, for example? Thank you.

Yes. The base of the Thule Telescoping Ladder for Vans - 9 Steps - 8-1/2' # TH301404 is designed to stay attached to the van, but it can be easily removed if needed since it mounts with heavy duty magnetic pucks. I do recommend removing it when you're not using the ladder since it could easily be removed by thieves, but it won't be susceptible to the rain.
