Question:

I need a trailer hitch for 2018 Sq5. Like the stealth but get confused about the trailer towing options. I need to tow a 17foot boat now and than. So I need the tow bar receiver , but do not need all the other items in 391CONVD5 accessory kit. I have bars with hitch balls etc. from my previous vehicles. Thank you

The Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer hitch receiver # 391AUDQ518 you were looking at for your 2018 Audi SQ5 is not rated for towing and is only rated for carrying accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier. Using it to tow will void the warranty of the hitch.

Since you do not need all of the wiring for towing your 17' boat then you can just purchase the Ball Mount for Stealth Hitches Hidden Receiver Hitch # 391BMU7S which can be used in place of the receiver included with the # 391AUDQ518 and will allow you to safely tow your trailer.

This ball mount is compatible with 1" hitch balls so if you do not already have one you can use 1-7/8" hitch ball # C40002, 2" hitch ball # 40038, or 2-5/16" hitch ball # C40007.
