Recommended Bike Rack for 2021 Kia Soul with Rear Camera and Sensors

Question:
I just bought a Curt class 1 1.25inch hitch from you. Im now looking at a number of hitch bike racks e.g. Kuat Sherpa 2.0. I would like one that has the least effect on my rear view camera, blind spot monitor, rear accident avoidance systems. Can you recommend a couple? I think that I want a platform style, but wondered whether platform or hanging made a difference in affecting these systems. Also, which tend to be more stable, platform or hanging? Many thanks,

I do have some great options for you but it's possible for any rack to trip the cars sensors, there isn't one that is less likely than another. Thankfully, most of these sensors can be manually turned off. That said, in regards to the rearview camera, a platform style would give you the best visibility since you don't have a thick vertical bar directly in the center of the vehicle where the camera would be. The platform racks are also more stable than hanging style bike racks. The Inno Tire Hold 2 Bike Platform Rack part # INH120 is a great option. It comes with locks, can be tilted/folded, and features easy to use wheel clamps.
