I recommend getting the Detail K2 Plow as they are very popular and reliable for many years of use. Both will need this front trailers hitch receiver # C31051. If your 1999 Ford Explorer is 4 wheel drive, you'll need this kit # K2AVAL8219ELT and if you have a 2 wheel drive version you'll need this one # K2AVAL8219. Both function the same.
