Question:

Hi - I am looking to get a bike rack for my 2021 Mazda 3 hatch. I have not got any parts related to it as of now. I assume, I would need a hitch and a rack and other things. Can you please recommend me what are the things needed? Also, can this hitch be reused for any other cars other than the Mazda 3 hatch? If possible, I would like to get one that I can use across other car if I sold mine. If not, it is what it is! I also need help with installations. Would you guys help with that as well?

The 2021 Mazda 3 only has one hitch receiver option. The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4", part # 24982, will fit your vehicle. Unfortunately, this hitch receiver only fits the 2019-2021 Mazda 3. This is a Class I hitch so your hitch bike rack choices will be limited since most hitch bike racks will be compatible with Class II and higher rated hitch receivers. Another limitation will be the maximum tongue weight your hitch receiver can handle, with this hitch receiver that total is 200lbs. The weight of your bike hitch rack and the bikes you carry will all count towards this weight. If you ride an ebike and you need a Class I rated hitch bike rack you can use the Thule EasyFold.

The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount, part # TH903202, is a rack designed to carry e-bikes. This hitch bike rack weighs 50 lbs. It comes with an anti-rattle hitch pin and lock that eliminates movement between the hitch receiver and the bike hitch rack that also secures the rack to the vehicle. The individual padded arms clamp the frame of the bike. It comes with a cable to secure the bikes to the rack.
