I have a solution for you. When it comes to finding mounting kits for nerf bars, the manufacturers design both the hardware and the nerf bars themselves for specific years/makes/models of vehicles. Unfortunately, I confirmed with Westin that the Westin Pro Traxx 4 Nerf Bars # 21-23710 or the Replacement Mounting Hardware Kit for Westin PRO TRAXX 4" Oval Nerf Bars # 21-2408PK will not fit your 2004 Ford F-150. Westin began fitting the Pro Traxx 4-Inch series for vehicles made in 2015 and later.

With that being said, there are similar styles of nerf bars that will fit your 2004 Ford F-150. The following are my recommendations and part numbers of the bars depending on what style cab you have on your truck:

- Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars - 3" - Polished Stainless Steel # 23-2340 (For regular cab)
- Aries Oval Nerf Bars - 4" Wide - Polished Stainless Steel # AAS223016-2 (for super cab)
