I have another option for you but the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13315 you were looking at is only confirmed to fit select Mazda CX-5's.
There is not a class III hitch available for your 2005 Chevrolet Impala so I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # 36407. This hitch has a 300lb tongue weight rating and 3500lb trailer weight rating so it will be perfect for carrying a bike rack, cargo carrier, or even a ball mount for light duty towing.
If you are planning on towing with your Impala you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # C56116, ball mount # 36061, and 1-7/8" hitch ball # 19257 or 2" hitch ball # 19258.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
