Question:
Hi, I am looking for a way to transport a canoe on top of my 2017 Honda CR-V. It has no roof rails or anything- naked. Can you recommend what I need to buy for a complete system? Thanks.

For the parts you need to mount a canoe on your 2017 Honda CR-V with a naked roof, I recommend the following roof rack setup:
- Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 54" Long - Qty 2 # RRVA137B-2
- Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars - Naked Roofs or Fixed Mounting Points - Qty 4 # RRRLKVA
- Custom DK Fit Kit for 4 Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack Legs - Naked Roof # DK284
The Rhino-Rack system is great because it gives you 165 pounds of maximum weight capacity without breaking your wallet in comparison to the competitor systems.
In addition to the Rhino-Rack system, you will need a canoe carrier to mount on the crossbars. For the carrier, I recommend the Inno Locker Watersport Carrier - Locking - Channel Mount - 1 Boat or 2 Boards # INXA445. The Locker installs right into the channels on top of the Rhino-Rack Aero Crossbars. It also comes with integrated straps that tighten with built-in ratcheting knobs.
