Can this ladder be installed into the beams on a flat ceiling horizontally instead of on a vertical wall? Thanks.

The Telesteps Telescoping Attic/Loft Ladder - 7' to 10' Tall Ceilings - 300lbs # TE84FR can only be installed on the vertical wall of the attic entrance to properly function.
