Question:
Lippert 1621 replacement. I currently have a Trailair Flex Air 18,000 lb. My Trailer gross wt. is 16,000 lbs. Will i need to replace with a 18,000 1191151 or a 15,500 1191191. Which one would be an exact fit.

We do have the right replacement for you, though for your 16,000 lb trailer you would actually need something different than the ones you mentioned. That's because the 18k pin box you mentioned is a replacement for the 1621HD, which has different wings than the 1621, and the 15.5k # LC1191191 isn't rated high enough for the 16,000 lb gross weight of your trailer.
The correct replacement that is an exact fit for your 1621 and has the right capacity is the following:
- Lippert 1621 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC1387883
This pin box has a 21,000 lb capacity and will be a perfect fit as a replacement for your current 1621 pin box.
