Ground Clearance Of The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver On A 2018 Mazda 3 Sedan
Updated 05/22/2021 | Published 05/21/2021 >
Question:
With part #C11377, how much ground clearance is lost on a 2018 Mazda 3 Sedan when measured from the lowest hanging point of the rear bumper. Or if its easier to answer, what is the ground clearance with the hitch installed when measured from the bottom on the receiver. Thanks you!

The 2014-2018 Mazda 3 are the same generation car. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4", part # C11377, is 11 1/2" from the ground to the top of the inside of the hitch receiver on both the 2015 and the 2017 Mazda 3. The 2018 should not be any different. So if we subtract an 1 1/4", which is the size of the hitch receiver, from the 11 1/2" measurement, you are left with between 10" and 10 1/4" inches of clearance from the ground to the bottom of the hitch receiver.
I have included the installation video links for the 2015 and 2017 Mazda 3 below.
