You will need to hardwire to install trailer wiring on your 2010 Volkswagen Jetta SportWagen using the 4-Way wiring kit # C59496. The wires on the harness will be connected directly to the wires behind the tail lights on your vehicle using splice connectors. You will use the included circuit tester to determine which vehicle wire carries each of the different functions for the harness and make the connections accordingly. There is also a power wire you will run to the engine compartment to connect it to the positive battery terminal, with the included fuse and fuse holder placed in line.
