The EverChill # WAY44FR does not have an automatic high-voltage shutoff switch. According to the owner's manual, available at the EverChill's website, a possible reason for the refrigerator not working is only being unplugged or a blown fuse in the travel trailer power center.
The DC operating volage is 9-17VDC, electricity >15A. There is a power indicator on the front of the refrigerator. It will illuminate when the input voltage is greater than 12.5V, the Full icon light is on. When the input voltage is less than 12.5V and greater than 11.5V, the Mid icon light is on
I am not certian how you could experience voltages greater than 17 volts DC. Even when a lithium charger is active on the batteries the voltage would still be 13.4 volts. I think I would be more concerned with under voltage.
