Question:
Hi, Im not finding #24735 on sale on your siteis it discontinued, and you just have the one other one, #C11280? Whats the difference? In the QandA for #24735 one of your staff members posted a video for installing that one, so I thought I should try to get it since there was that help. Is #C11280 the same? Would the video work for that? While Im at it, Ill check with you about my needs: hoping to haul a boat and trailer, anticipating the weight will be around 2,000lbs total. The Baja can reportedly pull up 2,400lbs. But somewhere in the comments I think I saw something about the hitch having its own limit? Of 2,000lbs? Also, if the opening is 1.25inch for both of these hitches, will I be able okay to find an attachment with a ball for the trailer? Or is there going to be a problem where I need 2inch only? Any insight appreciated! Ready to purchase, just want to do it right... Thanks

You're correct, the # 24735 has been discontinued by Draw-Tite, and is no longer available. The Curt
# C11280 is very similar and would install in the same manner as shown in the video you referenced. Really the only difference between the hitches is that the Curt # C11280 uses a reinforcing ring around the receiver opening, and the Draw-Tite does not.
The hitch has a 2000 lb towing/200 lb tongue weight capacity, so in order to tow your boat, you'll need to sure it doesn't exceed 2000 lbs and the tongue weight isn't more than 200 lbs. I'll link to an article that shows how to determine the tongue weight.
If you find you can tow the trailer, you'll need a ball mount like # C45518 and a # C40018 for a 2 inch ball or part # C40001 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
