What Roof Rack Do I Need to Carry 2 Kayaks with a 2013 Jetta?

Question:

Just confirming this is what I need to transport 2 kayaks on a 2013 VW Jetta with a sunroof. I already have the J brackets to mount the kayaks on. Also what is the weight limitation on this solution. Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System which is composed of part # RRVA118B-2, part # RRRLKVA, part # DK306

Yes, the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA118B-2, the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRRLKVA, and the Custom DK Fit Kit for 4 Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack Legs # DK306 is the roof rack setup that you will need to transport 2 kayaks with your j-mounts on your 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. As far as the sunroof clearance, I confirmed with Rhino-Rack that you will be able to move your sunroof forward and back, but you will not be able to use the tilt feature on the sunroof.

The maximum weight capacity with the rack setup is 165 pounds. If you have concerns about mounting your kayaks on the rack, I recommend mounting the crossbars at the maximum possible spread for your kayak carrier. If you need help finding the maximum spread for your carrier, I would be happy to assist you.
