Recommendations For Large Roof Rack That Is Compatible With Yakima HD Crossbars

Question:

I have a 2018 Ford Expedition and purchased the Yakima HD bars 60” from you guys. Question, I want to add a flat roof rackthe bigger the better and wanted your expert opinion on which rack would work for these bars? Thanks I’m advance.

For your 2018 Ford Expedition with Yakima HD 60" Bars, I recommend looking into the Yakima LockNLoad Platform Rack for Crossbars - Aluminum - 84" Long x 54" Wide # Y05048-39. This is a very large flat cargo rack which will work well on your roof. It has integrated channels which offer compatibility with many Yakima accessories like bike racks, kayak carriers, and more.

A more economical option is the Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack for Crossbars - Aluminum - 58" Long x 47" Wide # RR42115BF. This is a bit smaller but is still a fairly large cargo rack. It will fit onto the Yakima HD bars without an issue and this rack also has integrated channels for accessories. This is a really nice cargo rack but I would go with the Yakima LockNLoad since you are wanting a large rack.
