I do have a good solution for you, however. I confirmed with Thule that the Thule Elite Van XT 2 Bike Rack for Sprinter Rear Door # TH302043 will not fit a 2005 Dodge Sprinter Van.

However, the next best solution is to use a hitch and a hitch-mounted bike carrier. For the bike rack, I recommend the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches # SH22G along with the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks # PVP20B. The great thing about the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 with the Pivot 2 is that you will be able to swing the rack away from the rear doors of your 2005 Dodge Sprinter Van at a full 120 degrees.
