Kick Sensor Not Working on a 2020 Lexus RX 350 After Hitch Installation

Question:

I installed a Curt trailer hitch on my 2020 RX 350. The kick sensor no longer works. Is there a position I can move the kick sensor in order for it to work?

It does not look like the kick sensor can be moved on your 2020 Lexus RX 350. If the sensor required moving most manufacturers make a replacement trim panel that would relocate the sensor but there is not one for your Lexus and the manufacturer said that it is not required.

I suggest first checking to make sure that when the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13272 was installed that the wiring and sensors were not somehow damaged or accidently disconnected.

I have also seen a few that have commented that they have to kick to the passenger side of the hitch and almost all the way to the bumper cover for it to work properly.
