Question:
I am looking for never adjust set up on my 5th wheel. I called dexter and gave them my axle Ser# they in turn told me that they are d44 4400 lb my camper was to have 5200lb according to the build sheet these were made in 2011 noy i would like to change the brake system to never adjust brakes. The size is 10x2.25 what is the difference between the 4400lb and the 3500lb brakes? if the shoes are the same size is the difference just the magnets? or is the backing plate mount different ?

There are a few differences between the Dexter 3,500 lb brake assemblies and the 4,400 lb brake assemblies including the brake shoes, magnets, adjusters and adjuster springs. Because the 4,400 lb brake assemblies must be able to provide more stopping power than the 3,500 lb brake assemblies they will have upgraded components.
The 4,400 lb brake assemblies also have a different bolt hole pattern on the backing plate to mount to the brake mounting flange on the axle than the 3,500 lb brake assemblies.
Since your trailer has 4,400 lb axles, for Nev-R-Adjust brakes you will need the Dexter Electric Brake Assemblies, # K23-478-00 for left hand and # K23-479-00 for right hand.
