Are the Saris Hatch Huggers Required if you Buy the Saris Bones EX 3 Bike Rack?

Question:

Looking to purchase Saris Bones EX 3 bike rack, but Tech tip says part SA3035 is required to replace side hooks. Not sure if that means when you buy rack originally or down the road if you just need to replace them

I confirmed with Saris that the Hatch Huggers # SA3035 are required to mount the Saris Bones EX 3 Bike Rack # SA803 on a 2020 Subaru Forester. The Hatch huggers allow for a more customized fit for hatchback vehicles or vehicles with certain spoilers.
